We are in the IT placement services business for the past 15 years operating from Ahmedabad.
We have an MNC client who is looking for the subject candidates both for their Ahmedabad as well as Bangalore Offices, immediately.
The main challenge of this position will be in technical management, client communication and technical strategy. Maintaining a hands-on involvement in projects will also be components of the position.
Your Responsibilities :
• Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Project Development team.
• Get involved in the architecture and development of projects.
• Feel and act responsible regarding the overall quality delivered by the team.
• Evaluate code quality and development processes used within your projects and in the Development team as a whole.
• Communicate with technical partners about strategy and requirements as well as day-to-day technical collaboration details.
• Communicate with clients about the project scope and the high-level technical feasibility aspects of the project.
• Be involved in pre-sales activities to define solution proposals.
• Understand technical and functional design requirements.
• Design, develop and test technical solutions within the team.
• Recognize and effectively communicate when issues or events affect the deadlines and deliverables of a project.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.
Your Profile :
• 5+ years of professional development experience in Java web development.
• 3+ years experience in a lead position on mid-size projects (team of 8 Developers).
• Advanced knowledge of (and professional experience with) web-related technologies, frameworks and tools (Java 5/6, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, MySQL, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Eclipse, SVN).
• Proven experience with global, localised consumer websites, caching, and advanced CMS functionality.
• Experienced in day-to-day management of a technical team, preferably also with overseas parties.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and the ability to utilise and adapt the principles in the context of commercial projects.
• Experience with Oracle, Java Server Faces (JSF), and/or Magnolia CMS is a plus.
• Ability to work occasionally in PHP or .NET is a bonus.
• Ability to inspire clients as well as team members.
• Flexible attitude, down-to-earth problem solver who thinks on your feet.
• Excellent English communication skills - both written and spoken.
